about us.
At H.I.S., we desire to follow and honor our Lord Jesus in all we do. Our class offerings provide the training needed for those who have professional aspirations as well as those who want to take classes on a recreational basis.Through our prayerfully written curriculum, we desire to partner with parents, teaching God's Word in a way that helps each student to fall in love with the Creator of dance. We provide a non-denominational place for students to use the language of dance to express their hearts. To some, dance may be an extra-curricular activity, but to us, it is a place where life lessons can be learned. Classes include prayer and devotions. As fundamental dance positions are taught from our carefully constructed syllabus, a verse with a life application is also applied. As they leave our doors, we want to be sure that each child has been well instructed, understands their significance in His Kingdom and is more confident to "go out and share a reason for the hope that they have." May our passion for, and love of Christ continue to drive our pursuit of excellence and create an artistic outlet for students and their families. Whether dancing professionally, dancing for their church, or dancing in their homes..our desire is that they continue to dance for Him, wherever He may take them!

In 2002 God gave us a desire to use dance to positively impact a community, setting a standard that changes the face of dance and glorifies Him. In the past eight years we've seen many lives touched and in 2011 we have 12 instructors and approximately 600 students dancing for His glory throughout the week! Our Alger facility has been expanded as we have torn down walls to double studio space and state of the art sprung floors have been installed. We have a North Satellite location at Sunshine Community Church Student Ministries Building 3300 E Beltline and have most recently added a South Satellite location at Caledonia Christian Reformed Church 9957 Cherry Valley Avenue SE. We stand amazed at how He is at work in our midst!

- $35 per couple $5 for each additional child For more information click here tickets available online and in our Alger Office. A $2.00 processing fee per ticket will be charged for online purchases.
The evening will include corsage, dancing, pictures, crafts, cookie and fun! You won't want to miss a special evening with your father or special guest!
A Parable About The King ~ March 17, 2012 at 3pm & 7pm
- Hearts In Step Ensemble presents an original classical ballet based on Beth Moore's book, My Child, My Princess: A Parable about the King. A young princess, enchanted by the fun and freedom of the town's children, decides to disobey her father, the King, and run away from home. But what will she see when she looks through the eyes of a runaway? Can a King's daughter ever be happy pretending she's not? A Parable about the King features guest artist Cory Goei, a Grand Rapids native and professional dancer with James Sewell Ballet, as the King. Full theatrical sets, lighting, and costumes combine to draw the audience into this beautiful story about love and forgiveness.
